Dario Antonio Usuga David is a Colombian drug lord and the leader of the Usuga Clan, a criminal organization dedicated to the trafficking of cocaine. He was born in the municipality of Turbo, in the department of Antioquia. Usuga began his criminal career in the 1990s, working for the Medellín Cartel. In the early 2000s, he joined the Norte del Valle Cartel, and eventually rose to become one of its leaders.
In 2006, he was arrested and extradited to the United States, where he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. In 2012, he was extradited to Colombia, where he was released from prison in 2016. He subsequently resumed his role as the leader of the Usuga Clan. Under his leadership, the organization has become one of the most powerful drug trafficking gangs in Colombia.
Usuga is a wanted man in both the United States and Colombia. In 2019, the United States Department of the Treasury offered a $5 million reward for information leading to his capture.
