Dutch Mantel is the current manager of Jack Swagger. Mantel was born in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was a wrestler in the 1970s and 1980s, mainly in the Southern United States. He is best known for his time in the World Wrestling Federation in the mid-1980s as a wrestler and commentator.

Mantel began his career in the National Wrestling Alliance’s Jim Crockett Promotions in the early 1980s. He feuded with the likes of Magnum T.A. and Ricky Steamboat. He also had a stint in the American Wrestling Association in 1984.

In 1985, Mantel joined the World Wrestling Federation. He wrestled under his real name and was managed by Freddie Blassie.
